Reza Ghafoorian, M.D., Patent Attorney
  
Dr. Reza Ghafoorian is an experienced patent attorney as well as a medical doctor.  He is knowledgeable of microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and immunology, and trained in anatomy, microanatomy, neuro-anatomy, neurology, surgery, internal medicine, primary care, obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
 
In addition, Dr. Ghafoorian is an experi­enced entrepreneur having co-founded Global Identity Bank, LLC, an identity repository that has developed proprietary software for identity theft prevention.  Dr. Ghafoorian is also a named inventor of a patent application dealing with biometric identification and storage.  Prior to becoming a partner at Hansen Huang Technology Law Group, LLP, Dr. Ghafoorian was an assistant state attorney for the Office of State Attorney, 17th Judicial Circuit, Florida, where he litigated a wide variety of cases for the State Attorney’s office as a prosecutor.
 
Dr. Ghafoorian began his legal career at Burns Doane Swecker & Mathis, LLP, where he drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and mechanical arts.
